I agree, Deco is amazing! yes he's got the looks,
but people should focus more on his football.
I think it's hard to compare Deco to any other football
player because... you simply can't. He has his own category.
I don't think any other player could move the ball with such skill,
score goals from outside the 18 yard box so powerful and so accurate,
And also create threatening plays and accurate passes.
He's a beautiful player that shows passion for the game.
I like Deco, not only because of his skills, but he's not so
"commercialized" as other players.. like Beckham.. C.Ronaldo...
Ronaldinhio, Yet he is equally as good or even better than some
of these players. Deco deserves more attention than some other players out there.
If i ever met him one day, I'd probably play soccer with him =)...
and get his autograph n such... ;D

Hey you all! I'm 17 from Germany.
You're too right! Deco is simply amazing!!! Not only how he looks like but I also love his style of playing football. Because of him I started playing football myself and so I can better realize what a great player he is. I also like that he doesn't make a big show about himself as some others (like you already mentioned, Mallory). Of course it's beautiful to watch Ronaldinho or C.Ronaldo doing their fascinating dribblings or whatever but in a match it is often just useless. So I prefer Deco's style. Precise, correct, useful but also beautiful to watch.

I already saw him!!! :-D It was the days he stayed in Munich before the match against France. I spent two days in front of the hotel and when the bus arrived, I saw them all! Deco even smiled and waved shortly before he went into the hotel. Unfortunately we just saw them entering the hotel and we didn't get any autographs but it was such a great experience to be there and to see the whole national team with all the Portuguese fans singing and cheering!!! ;-D The next day when they left to the stadion I was also there and watched them going into the bus. I'll never forget these moments!!! And this summer I go to Barcelona where I hope to visit one of their training sessions to get a bit nearer to Deco... ;-)

Deco-Fan bin ich genau seit dem Abend des 16. Juni 2004. :-D Ja, so genau weiß ich des noch. Damals wollte ich eigentlich irgendwas im Fernsehen anschauen, aber es war grad EM und im Ersten lief Portugal-Russland. Tja, bin nur kurz hängen geblieben, aber dann lief Deco über den Bildschirm und da war von Umschalten natürlich keine Rede mehr. ;-D Jaja, seitdem bin ich ziemlicher Deco-Freak. Wenn er halt auch so was von gut aussieht...
Und du? Wann hast du ihn entdeckt?

hey (wie heißt du eigentlich?),
ich studier Englisch (und Kulturanthropologie... noch.... *g*) du gehst noch zur Schule, oder?
ich kann mich ehrlichgesagt nicht mehr ganz genau erinnern, bei welchem EM-Spiel mir Deco aufgefallen ist, aber das war spätestens gegen England. (sicher das spannendste Fußballspiel, dass ich je gesehen habe und je sehen werde) Auf jeden Fall bin auch ich seitdem ein ziemlicher Deco-Freak während der WM waren hab ich meine Freunde glaub ich total genervt, weil ich ihnen andauernd sagen musste (ja, musste ), dass Deco nunmal der beste Spieleer überhaupt ist und noch dazu einfach extrem süß aussieht.

Ich bin nächstes Schuljahr in der 12. Klasse und hab leider immer noch keinen Plan, was genau ich nach dem Abi studieren will. Englisch und Kunst-LK... Mal schaun. Was willst du dann nach deinem Studium machen?

Stimmt, dieses England-Spiel war der Wahnsinn! Bin schier vor Spannung vorm Fernseher gestorben. ;-) Als Ricardo dann zum Helden des Tages wurde, war ich ewig erleichtert. Schade, dass sie letztendlich gegen Griechenland verloren haben, aber so ist da snun mal.
Ja, ich nerve meine Freunde und Familie auch schon seit zwei Jahren die ganze Zeit. ;-D Aber du hast vollkommen Recht: Deco ist einfach der Allerbeste und ich habe auch noch niemanden gesehen, der auch nur annähernd so gut aussieht wie er. Schade, dass frau hier in Deutschland so wenig von seinen Spielen zu sehen bekommt.
